Meet the teacher...

Mary Walsh

BA (Hons) Ballet education LRAD ARAD RTS

Mary studied at the Royal Academy of Dance headquarters in London graduating with a BA (Hons) in Ballet Education. She has since taught at schools across Ireland, England, Scotland, Germany, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand alongside some exceptionally talented teachers, gaining a wealth of knowledge, developing her teaching skills and honing her craft.

Before hanging up her dancing shoes Mary performed in two tours with Chrysalis Dance Company in Ireland, performed as guest artist with Youth Ballet West, completed an apprenticeship with Cathy Sharpe Dance Ensemble and toured Western Australia with Perth City Ballet's Be Active scheme.

She currently teaches full time at Elmhurst Ballet School, training some of the countries most talented young dancers.

"I am excited to begin offering adult ballet classes in my locality. These classes are designed to provide a fun and welcoming space for adults to move, learn and enjoy the art of ballet. I can't wait to build a supportive community of adult dancers - whether you're a complete beginner, an experienced dancer or something in between!"
